It's a Hard-Knock Life
Leave it to my beloved borough of Queens to have the highest incidence of child prostitution in the city. According to the tastefully titled article in this morning's NY Daily news, Year-long aim to end kid sex biz (which kinda makes it sound like the girls had thunk it up themselves, like a freakin' lemonade stand): The program is starting in Queens because about a third of the 150 children under age 17 arrested in the borough last year were busted for prostitution. Welcome to Queens, home of the Mets, Archie Bunker, and kiddie fuckers.
As Mayor Bloomberg so eloquently stated at Monday's "Operation Guardian" press conference: "The team 'will use every tool in its box to put the pimps in jail and to tear this business out at its roots.'" Can we not use words like "tool," "box," and "tear" in reference to child prostitutes, Mister Mayor?
What to do about the johns, since demand seems stronger than supply? There's always John School, I suppose, though it seems as though they're pretty resentful of being forced to feel bad about paying indigent crack addicts (or 14-year-old runaways) for sex.
In one particularly awful case, a man named Woodolf Romeo [!!!] forced two girls--13 and 14--into prostitution and THEN, as the article goes on to say, The 14-year-old also was forced to have Romeo's name tattooed on her arm. The scars of white slavery eventually heal, but WOODOLF written in cursive script on your biceps? That's forever.

Archie Bunker? That Queens reference is so old school. The Bunkers moved to Florida a long time ago and Youngbiao Guan and his family now live on 704 Hauser Street.
