Killen Gets 60 Years
Former KKK leader Edgar Ray Killen headed to court to face a judicial system that probably convicted a granola bar before arresting his bonafide bedwetting, murderering ass (why so many years and zero Judge-Ito playdates? Grandpa Killen was busy Jennifer Beal-ing his way through Six Flag commercials). He received a 60-year sentence and we’re oh so curious if tender prison life will have Killen weeping cum, leaving him clinging to his Timothy-McVeigh-doll during the wee hours.Meanwhile, Haaretz reports on how the infamous killings paved the way for black-Jewish relations, establishing such brilliant partnerships as Madagascar's Ben Stiller-Chris Rock dynamic duo:
Two of the victims, Michael Schwerner and Andrew Goodman, were white Jewish New Yorkers who came to register black voters. The third, James Chaney, was a black Mississippian. The three were intercepted by Klansmen in their station wagon on June 21, 1964. Several New York Jews saw the conviction as a sign, albeit 30 years late, of the close ties between Jews and blacks that were forged...
30 years too late indeed, as The South once again proves itself an incompetently backward, racist buffoon breeding ground fit for a third-world country’s irrigation system. But at least several Upper Westsiders can watch their favorite DVD & feel two inches closer to Chapelle.

I'm surprised you'd trash The South there, Tex.
And, as for Black/Jewish relations, what about Crown Heights? Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan? And Lenny Kravitz? Each a real tragedy...
