Couple In Wendy's Finger Incident Guilty

You may remember the case of the creepy floating finger which was discovered half-submerged in a bowl of deliciously creamy Wendy's chilli. In the finger pointing chilli controversy that immediately followed, help was obtained from not only Animal Planet's Pet Psychic [what's your favorite episode by the way!?] but also some good ole' investigative footwork -- and lo and behold -- the finger turned out to be a coworker of the chilli spelunker's husband - who sold the finger to the husband for $100, and to suspend half of a debt. In the paw-filled fracas that followed, Jaime Plascencia and Anna Ayala pled Not Guilty to conspiracy and attempted grand theft, and Wendy's lost an estimated $30 million dollars due to bad publicity as diners chose other fast food establishments with no record of alleged hand dismemberment.

Less than a month later justice has been served with the hand of justice pointing two fleshy five-fingered hands at the couple. These tomato paste and gristle lovers pled Guilty to conspiring to file a false claim and attempted grand theft. Wendy's $30 million dollar loss has been changed to a mere $2.5 million.

"Ayala's attorney, Rick Ehler, said she was truly remorseful.

"There are a lot of people that work for Wendy's that were harmed, she always felt a lot of remorse about that," he said."

Yes, hm. Just last month the couple pled Not Guilty. No one should question the power of empathy though, as Barbara Bush has recently proven. For those readers anticipating upcoming clambakes, here is the chilli recipe from the new Plascencia Ayala cookbook:

1 c Lentils
3 tb Tomato soup powder
2 tb Masa or Corn flour
1 tb Chilli Powder
1 tb Onion Flakes
1 tb Cumin
1 ts Oregano
1 ts Salt
1 Clove Garlic
4 c Water
1 coworkers fetid and decaying green and blue finger

Comments:
You are wrong about them ever pleading not guilty. The only plea entered was guilty.
