MLB Pitcher Urbina Charged with Murder in Venezuela

I guess a "welcome home" party really doesn't get started until someone pulls out a machete in Venezuela. Phillies free agent pitcher, Ugueth Urbina, has been charged with attempted murder after a ruckus broke out at his mama's house in Caracas. While Urbina maintains his innocence (naturally), he feels that "everything will be cleared up soon and people will know the truth". Of course the Philadelphia Phillies have no comment yet as the incident occured back on October 16, 2005 and we're all just getting word of it now. Even though I have a tendency to think all big money sports guys are usually guilty, Urbina did go to the police on his own to tell his side of the story.

Does this mean he loses all his contracts? Endorsements? Wait, does he have any?

Comments:
Ugueth Urbina's highly individualized name could challenge the name of the creature under Jabba's "desert hideout" in Return of the Jedi, you know - the Rancor. For uniqueness.

Does anyone know if George Lucas might hit "the scripts" with his crayon once more, someday, to knock out "the early Hutt: Jabba In Space" type movie? If so, that's enough reason right there ( legal issues be damned!) to get Ugueth Urbina's charges dropped.

He must have read the book on Jason Williams; not of the times but formally of the nets.
