Give Me An F
Now for some really important news:
A former Boone Grove High School cheerleading coach pleaded innocent Monday to
charges accusing her of stealing from the squad’s fund raising
account.
(...)After an 18-month investigation, authorities alleged
Whiteside stole money from four events that were designed to raise money for
cheerleading uniforms and activities.
Remember people, think positive. Also, coaches, see your code of conduct guidelines. Since I do not have the Boone Grove High School cheerleading squad handbook available, I am drawing from Nevada's cheerleading code of conduct standards. Really.
This is my favorite:
All cheerleading will stop when there is a player "down" on the field.
When a player is down, the cheerleading squad goes down on one knee to support
the injured player and to show the fans that a player is down on the
field. Once the player is back to his/her feet or removed from the field,
cheerleaders are to clap in support of that player. Please note that this
is to be done for both teams. This shows extremely good sportsmanship.
I don't see anything in there about stealing money set aside for newer, "sluttier" uniforms. So that should be O.K., shouldn't it?
